Worry and anxiety are inevitable emotions that we all encounter throughout life. It’s easy to become overwhelmed, and even crippled, by these feelings.
Fortunately, we specialize in helping our clients relieve their stress, worry and anxiety. We also provide them with regular tips for avoiding the overwhelming waves that often accompany these feelings.
Today, we’d like to share those tips with you. Are you ready to hear some of our favorite tips of overcoming heavy feelings of worry? Let’s get started...
Distinguish Between Solvable and Unsolvable Worries
Worry and anxiety go hand in hand.
When you worry, you actually succeed in reducing anxiety temporarily. Thinking through the problem in your head makes you feel like you’re being productive. However, more often than not, you end up worrying about the same things over and over again.
This results in soaring anxiety levels.
Learning the difference between productive and unproductive worrying will help end the cycle. When you worry about solvable problems, there’s a possibility of becoming productive.
When you worry about unsolvable problems, you’re just wasting mental energy and possibly causing yourself physical pain.
To help distinguish between the two, ask yourself the following questions:
- Can you immediately do something about the problem, or otherwise prepare for it?
- Is the problem something that is actually being faced, or an imaginary ‘what-if’ concern?
- If the problem is a ‘what-if’ concern, is it realistic?
You can develop the skill to release worries about problems you can’t solve. Accepting that you can’t solve the source of your worries will help end the cyclical thoughts and free up your mind. This skill takes time to develop, so give yourself time to learn.
I’ve found that daily meditation helps clarify thoughts and identify unhealthy worries.
Receive Regular Energy Healing
Energy healing is an umbrella term used to describe a number of modalities aimed to help clients complement the healing process. Energy healers are able to use their training to provide clients with the relaxation needed to tackle issues that accompany anxiety and worry.
With the help of an energy healer, clients are able to experience an increased awareness of their mental state. They’ll also have a guide there to help work them through the emotions and thoughts that may come up during a session.
This type of assistance will help clients overcome chronic worry and understand deep-seated anxiety. I may be a bit partial, but it really does work wonders.
Challenge Anxious Thoughts
Chronic anxiety and worry are often rooted in seeing the world as more dangerous or unwelcoming than it is in reality.
It’s common to jump immediately to worst-case scenarios, or accept a bad thought as though it was fact. It’s also commonplace to give yourself less credit than you deserve, assuming that you’ll fail when faced with adverse circumstances.
Likewise, crippling anxiety is also common in today’s world.
It’s time to challenge anxious thoughts. Teach yourself to ask the following questions when you catch yourself worrying:
- What would I say to a friend who was worrying about the same thing?
- Is there a positive or more realistic way of looking at the situation?
- What’s the probability that the negative situation will actually happen?
- Is there any evidence to back up the anxiety, or is it all existing in my mind?
It may take time to develop the skill to ask yourself these questions when filled with anxiety, but it’s a skill that you can certainly learn.
A regular meditation practice will enhance each of these tips for overcoming worry and anxiety. Learning how to question thoughts that make you anxious, along with distinguishing between solvable and unsolvable worries, will take you far.
Combine that with energy healing to help you work through related trauma, you’ll be set on a path to free yourself from these distressing emotions.
My own personal experience taught me that everything works better, faster and more efficient when you have a helping hand, when you have a step by step plan. Especially when you are trying to work through difficult situations and when you are dealing with painful emotions, you often feel lost and alone.
I have practiced Healing for more than 10 years now, and I often had to answer questions about self-healing. Does it work and do I need special skills for it? My answer is always: yes, you can heal yourself, and everybody can do it. It's just a matter of taking action, to change our minds, which generates energy and heals. However, our mind usually doesn't transform overnight. It has to be trained and this is the reason why I decided to create the 7 Week Healing Conditioning Program.
That's why I wrote these steps down for you in this Healing Conditioning program, to help you to heal yourself. Just follow this simple process, and allow your body and mind to heal and transform yourself back into The Bestest You.
In order to get the best results we repeat the training and exercises for each step:
- About Connecting
- About Allowing
- About Receiving
- About Feeling
- About Appreciating
- About Living
- About Being
Now you may ask: why does it take 7 weeks?
Why do the same exercises? Why repeat the process? What is the benefit of doing that? It feels boring. It's more fun to try something different. True, but it takes time for the brain to rewire itself. It needs time to re-create neurological patterns.
A recent study from the Journal of Scientific American explains that your brain’s remarkable ability to rewire itself in response to experience. Mice with amblyopia or “lazy eye” (partial blindness caused by visual deprivation early in life) improved faster if they were exposed to visual stimuli while running on a treadmill.
These same principles are used to re-train people with mental problems such as anxiety according to a study at the Social Anxiety Institute ‘Overcoming Social Anxiety: Step by Step" . It provides a permanent solution to change your neural pathways and associations and it involves changing the brain. This can only be done by learning new strategies, rational concepts, and new methods to extinguish social anxiety. Then, these new strategies and methods must be practiced and practiced. This is why we always talk about repetition. Without repetition, neural pathways and associations cannot change. To have a permanent solution for social anxiety, our neural pathways and associations MUST change.
