Here at Relief from Pain, we’re excited about the services our charity provides to the community. But in our experience, sometimes people feel confused about how healing and charity work together.
We’d like to take a few moments to clear up any confusion.
“Healing is a relaxing, nurturing energy therapy. Gentle touch assists in balancing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Healing works with your energy field to support your natural ability to heal. It is safe for all ages and works in harmony with standard medical care.”
With this in mind, we’re on a mission to help those in pain within our communities. The complementary healing treatment we offer goes to help those facing chronic pain, stress or seeking complete balance in their life.
Our volunteer healers work directly with the hurting by donating their time to help others.
Together, we can make a difference; not only in individual lives, but in our communities as a whole. There’s no doubt that healing and charity fit together perfectly.
A Few Ways Healing Benefits the Community
We live in a rapidly changing and evolving world.
From economic hardships to technological revolutions, it seems that something is always shifting the way we interact with the world around us.
In this constant turmoil that we face, there’s got to be an outlet. We believe healing can serve as that release. You’ll find that the practice brings many benefits. These are just a few.
Reduce the Stress of Daily Life
Balancing work, family and social life can add loads of unneeded stress on an individual’s life. Unfortunately, there’s no way to avoid the demands. All we can do is learn how to manage the stress in our daily walk.
If we don’t, it can lead to loads of physical, mental and emotional problems. Just a few of the symptoms of stress include:
Frequent headaches, jaw clenching or pain
Stuttering or stammering
Tremors, trembling of lips, hands
Neck ache, back pain, muscle spasms
Frequent colds, infections, herpes sores
Sudden attacks of life threatening panic
Chest pain, palpitations, rapid pulse
Excess anxiety, worry, guilt, nervousness
Increased anger, frustration, hostility
Depression, frequent or wild mood swings
Increased or decreased appetite
Insomnia, nightmares, disturbing dreams
Difficulty concentrating, racing thoughts
And that’s just to name a few.
That’s where healing comes into play. One of the main benefits of healing is an evident calming and reduction of stress. After a session with us, Eveline – a Day Care mother in Holland – shared the following:
"I have not felt as calm and relaxed for a long time, it made me stop worrying."
Imagine what could happen if the healing cause spread throughout the UK. It could lead to a dramatic reduction in overall stress. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Contribute to Sense of Well-Being
When people don’t manage their stress well, it can take a dark turn.
There are alarming suicide rates across the UK, particularly among men. The Guardian published an article that went so far as to call it a national tragedy.
None of us are immune from landing in such a dark place. And that’s why it’s so important to have charities like Relief from Pain that strive to enhance your overall well-being.
If you can align your mind, body and spirit, you’ll be able to reduce your stress levels and avoid these types of devastating tragedies. With a charity like ours, people can seek the relief they need from physical, mental and emotional pain without turning to other harmful sources.
An outlet like this readily available can play a vital role in the reduction of this national tragedy.
Relieve the Pain of Others
Ultimately, the entire benefit of Relief from Pain is that you can, indeed, find relief from the pain in your life. It doesn’t matter if that’s physical, mental or emotional.
We all have pains. Even the happiest person you know will face a dark time at some point.
It’s just the circle of life.
The key to these times, however, is to have places available that can offer you a reprieve. There’s no reason that the people in our communities should face these things alone.
Everyone deserves inner peace.
Your Contribution Makes the World a Better Place
Once you’re sold on our mission, it’s time to really understand how your contribution makes the world a better place.
I think it comes down to one main idea: happiness.
According to Lifehack, happy people exude several pleasant characteristics. The article notes that these people are:
Surrounded by Happy People
I don’t know about you, but a world full of people like that sounds like a world I want to live in.
How about you?
As you can see, healing and charity fit together quite well. If you’d like to discuss how you can get involved with Relief from Pain, please get in touch with us today. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
