Some people are healers by nature. You know the kind… They’re always taking care of friends and family. You’ll find them naturally sharing health advice to anyone that will listen.
Maybe you’re even that person.
While traditional medicine has its place, energy healers work within the bounds of natural methods. For those of you out there interested in this profession, you’ve come to the right place.
Today’s article will take us on a journey into the depths of this vocation. I invite you to join me as I share what you need to know on how to become an energy healer.
Step 1: Understand Your Responsibility
There are fields of thought that elevate healing into a spiritual-only realm. It’s as if normal people can’t join the ranks of a healer. But that’s just not so. In fact, in my experience, it’s those that have lived a normal life that connect best with others.
Defining an energy healers is difficult, but I’ll give it a shot. Simply put:
An energy healer is simply someone who moves, adjusts, and assists in strengthening the energetic fields of others.
When a healer does the job right, your client’s body is in a better condition to heal itself. Or sometimes it’s just able to have a stronger response to conventional medical treatment.
A healer only facilitates healing within the body. It’s the body that does all the real work. You should think of yourself as a catalyst, helping the process along faster and easier.
Step 2: Evaluate Your Qualifications
One of the biggest misconceptions in this field is that you need some sort of specialised calling from a higher power. That’s not the case. In fact, everyone can become an energy healer.
It’s been happening for centuries, and is simply part of our human nature. In today’s world, some people are more aware of it than others. Some can even access it more easily than others. But if you’re interested in the process, you can do it.
Anyone can be taught to access and use this innate human power.
Some people can do it with no training. Others may need a training class. But absolutely anyone can be an energy healer. The only qualification? A passion for relieving the pain from others.
Step 3: Follow Your Instincts
You may find that once you get into actually practicing energy healing that you feel more drawn towards helping certain ailments. Or you may just show a particular aptitude for a special area of healing. This is not unusual, and you should follow your instincts.
A few specialty areas of healing include:
And there are even more narrow specialties within these categories. For example, physical healing could have a niche into specific ailments, such as arthritis or cancer.
As you practice being an energy healer, you’ll find your unique aptitude. And when that happens, follow it. Whether in business or life, specializing is always a smart move.
Step 4: Develop Your Energy Healing Abilities
Taking training classes at energy healing institutes can provide enormous value. This is especially important for those that don't feel a natural affinity to healing.
However, these institutions aren’t necessary to develop your skills.
As they say, practice makes perfect. And that’s the most important thing you can do in developing your abilities… Practice.
Practice feeling the healing energy within you running through your fingertips. Practice feeling the energetic fields around others. Then, practice manipulating it for the benefit of the patient.
With plenty of practice, you will soon be able to feel the difference between a normal energetic field and one with blockages or broken places, as well as weak ones and strong ones.
When you can feel this, you can practice using your own healing energy to fix these issues and assist your patient in feeling better and being stronger.
Step 5: Live as an Energy Healer
Ideally, you will have spent some time practicing your abilities on yourself, your family and friends first. Maybe you'll have taken some classes, or an entire program in energy healing.
Once you are confident in your abilities, you can start your own practice. However, you may feel like you need to learn how a professional business works first, or want more practice. If this is true, you can always volunteer as an energy healer at a charity healing center at a place like Relief from Pain.
Even after you've already started your professional practice, giving back to the community may be important to you. It often is with those who are called to becoming energy healers.
Giving some of your time each week as a volunteer for Relief from Pain will give you the ability to give back and help everyone who needs healing, without interfering with your income or business.
Your patients will appreciate you being there, and you will feel good about being there for them.
