Grief, loss, the feeling of being all alone…
Emotional and spiritual pain is, perhaps, some of the most daunting pain we’ll ever experience in this life. I think it’s because you can’t see the pain with your eyes - as if that somehow makes it less authentic or substantial.
In fact, this type of pain is probably the most authentic type of pain. We all experience it at one point or another, and we all try to avoid it as much as possible.
Yet it will eventually rear its ugly head, and we’ll be forced to face it head-on.
When you come in contact with this deep sense of hurt, the best solution is finding a healthy way to cope with it. While others turn to things like substance abuse and risky behaviour, you need to take a healthy approach.
You’ve already lost something you loved. There’s no reason to lose yourself too. (And that’s exactly what happens when we turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms.)
If you’re experiencing emotional and spiritual pain, I challenge you to implement at least 2-3 of these methods over the next week.
Build a Powerful Support Group
Human beings are programmed to connect, build communities and endure the struggles (and joys) of life together. It’s very true that no man is an island. If you want to push past the difficult times in your life, you must build a strong support group.
In this age, many seem to avoid this pivotal step - as if our unrelenting quest for independence would be deterred. But, trust me, it won’t.
Take a look at any successful person in this world. If you look for even a few moments, you’ll find a core support system that they’ve built. Without that group, they’ll attest, they would have never reached their current level of success.
Take Time to Think Through the Pain
When we feel pain - especially internally, in our emotions or spirit - we occupy ourselves enough to avoid it. Some do this recklessly by turning to abusive substances. Others simply occupy their time in order to avoid the feelings.
I’d like to encourage you to face the pain straight on. Don’t avoid the process by diving into other projects, substances or decoys. Embrace it - only then can you move past it.
Find Your Reason for Hope
We all need a reason to live - a reason for hope. Parents often push past difficult times by thinking of their children or spouses. Business owners can overcome difficulties by thinking of their employees and partners.
Whatever you have to do, find your reason for living and cling to it in hope for a better tomorrow.
Use a Therapy or Treatment That Works for You
When you’re dealing with intense pain in the body, a physician will send you to physical therapy. Likewise, we need to invest in therapy and treatment when we feel pain in our emotions and spirit.
At Relief from Pain, we help you by providing energy healing treatments. Other therapy options include speaking with a counsellor or religious minister. The key isn’t found in using one practice over the other; it’s in finding the path that works for you.
And once you find that path, you can enter your journey towards healing.
It’s awful that you (or someone you love) is suffering with emotional and spiritual pain. No one deserves to feel it, yet we all go through the experience at one point or another. If you want to try energy healing as a treatment, we’d love to help you get started on the journey. Contact us today to schedule your first appointment.
