Cacao has changed my life [Guest Post]

I was first drawn to using Cacao Chocolate a few years ago after reading many articles on the health benefits of Cacao, this led me on to making my own cold Cacao smoothie using cashew, cacao powder, banana and dates, with a pinch of Cayenne pepper. I have used this recipe before/after Yoga practice and as a pre and post exercise drink.

There are always a couple of pivotal moments that stick in your mind as the times you decided to change yourself and your life.

One of mine was the evening my parents were rushed in two ambulances to an Italian hospital and given oxygen therapy treatment because they had suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, I can still remember my dad stumbling into my bedroom talking incoherently and my mum trying to put on her dressing gown, but had lost all coordination. The doctors said they had a very lucky escape as the count in their blood-stream was so high if they had gone to sleep they would have died!
